One thought would be to freeze grape juice or orange juice in the trays. The resultant ice "letters" would show up well in a glass of apple juice!

The women in my family are famous our frozen fruit salad, a specialty dessert we roll out every year around this time. These mold would be perfect for adding a fun new twist to the presentation of my family's old stand-by.
My sister also swears that you can make meringue cookies in a silicone mold. Wouldn't meringue cookie letters be adorable?

So much fun! I can think of many uses for these, but I love the idea of jello molds for little ones. Though, the crayon idea was really super! It's a great motivation for reading and eating. I could use these with my toddler and I'm sure with my students!
