Maybe next year

Call me a jerk if you want... This summer was our anniversary, 12 years:) My husband is not one to buy me jewelery, which I'm ok with. I'm a pretty simple girl. But sometimes a girl just wants a cool ring or something. I can hint around all day and he still wouldn't get the hint. I'm sure most of you can relate. So this year he came home from work the day before and told me he found my present but he didn't think I'd like.   The next day, he takes me to the jewelery store. I was thinking "Oh yes bring on the ring!"... I was so stoked!!! The lady pulled out a watch. It was a nice watch.  No, seriously it was a VERY nice watch but I it looked nothing like me! I tried it on and the lady looks at my husband and says "she hates it" & grabbed the watch from me!  Long story short, I didn't get a anniversary gift!!!  I felt pretty horrible.  So here's a watch that I love!  What are the chances I get it?.... Probably better buy it myself;)

He loves me! And sometimes it's nice to look down and have a little reminder when we're apart:) I can't tell you how much I smile when I see this bracelet at Chickadee Designs. As I Went Walking

BOO! I'm still alive. I have survived my freshman year of college (again...) and am currently in the trenches of full time employment.

Now to the good stuff! As I went walking down the commons area of my Washington high school, I would usually always see some guys at one end who were crocheting. I thought it was interesting to see the future ASB leadership guys doing such a thing, but didn't give it much thought.

Flashfoward (which was a good show, and I'm still upset it's canceled) several years after high school and I come across a link on my FB (Facebook for those who don't know) news feed about some guys with a "k"rochet company. I click it and learn about the same guys from high school are now doing amazing things with their talent.

They not only make hip hats and stylin' tee's, but they help women in Uganda at the same time. I don't wanna spoil the whole story, but it is quite a testament to vision and drive, and you should definitely check it out.

Now we are blessed to share their story/products with you, our favorite people! My favorite would have to be their Twin Fin hats. You will be strutting your stuff down the street in one of these hats with heads turning. One of the coolest things about these hats is that the stitching is designed so that you can wear them any season, hot or cold.

Not a hat person, no problem. They have t-shirts too. They even roll with cool music other things.

My purse is full of odds and ends. Everything from gum to toys to lotion to whatever! You name it, I've probably got it in my purse! As much as I try to keep my bag clean, it's not. And planning for a new baby, I know that I'm gonna have a few pacifiers floating around my purse soon. These Pacifier Pyramids from Doll Birdies are perfect to keep things on the clean side. Keeping it raw

I'm a big market walker. I love going to them. There's so many creative people. I've been to quite a few and one thing you need if you're going to do any kind of shopping, is a unique bag. I've found mine at Aqua Cherry. Their slouchy purse has traveled around with me the most this summer & I love that I've never seen a duplicate. If it wasn't for my Grandma, I don't know if I would have a crafty side to me! I used to love going over to her house and spending the day making fun things when I was little. We always used buttons A LOT & whenever she would lose one, she would always sing "button button, who's got the button?" ... I think that's where I got my button fetish from! Bellamina had the perfect hair clip holder to catch my eye! It's adorned with a big flower with the center covered in buttons! What to take to the pool?

Going to the pool is pretty much on our everyday agenda. With 3 kids and myself, we have a lot to get ready before we go. Thank goodness for Room It Up! The boys can get themselves ready & I get on my suit and wrap up in my Spa Wrap. Since you can only do yourself up so much going to the pool, I always remember to grab my Ruffle Towel Clutch. We usually eat lunch before we go but after our long walk to the pool, we're usually hungry by the time we get there... Good thing Room It up also has a cooler , I can also pack full of snacks!
