My grandmother told me once to never set my purse down on the floor when I'm at a restaurant. That has stuck with me and I always have my bag hanging across my knees while I'm eating. I love having fun magnets on my fridge. I have some that are kept up high and outta reach from the kiddo's but I also have some down below that I encourage them to play with. I just added these totally cool magnets to the kid's collection. Gregoire Ganter has put a new spin on the alphabet. Fun letters, eye catching pictures... the whole family will be reciting the ABC's on a daily basis. Don't worry, same alphabet, just with a modern twist:)

A creative menu

I'm always trying to find fun ways to get my kids excited about eating. These trays from Sillycone have been a HUGE help lately, if only I would have found them sooner:) Add just about anything from water to jello, to butter & rice rice crispy treats , too add a personal touch to the menu. You can even make your own crayons! You'll be surprised at how creative you can get. Actually the kids have been the creative ones & around here. They've been trying out all kinds of liquids. Although I wasn't too happy to find my new trays out in the snow... They're were making a name tag for their snowman:)

Makin A List

Our grocery bill is HUGE and my boys aren't even teenagers yet! I think part of the problem is I don't really have a plan before I shop & I just end up adding things as I go a long. Someone suggested to me that I should start making a list before I go to store and stick to it! My only problem with making a list is that I try to write it all at once & I still forget things that I need. I've been trying out this nifty SmartShopper Grocery List Maker and it has worked great! It's right on my refrigerator & when I run out of something, I just press record, speak into it and it records the items that I need. When I'm ready to attempt the grocery store I just print it off and take it with me. It organizes everything into categories. So trips to the store are much faster & I've been saving money by planning ahead. They only thing I have to be careful of, is my kids adding things we don't need... well and my husband for that matter, I think he's lovin this new gadget more than me:)

I'm a big fan of using the self timer function on my camera but ever tried to find the perfect spot to rest your camera & then race back to the group to get into the picture, only to find out all your heads are cut off because you didn't quite get your camera in the right position on the rock you had to use?! "Can I have a drink Mom?"

I am bad when it comes to drinking enough water & I think my bad habits are wearing off on my kids. So, I grabbed myself one of these awesome stainless steel water bottles from EarthLust & I must saying I've been keeping up with my water intake. I can't hear you WHAT?

I have absolutely no musical talent but I do love music and my children do as well. While I tend to listen to music not quite as loud as I used to, my boys think if they have to wear headphones, it's mandatory for it to be blaring!
