Summer Eats

What I love most about summertime is all the good eats that pop up a BBQ's and parties or lately on Pinterest. These have caught my attention... You'll for sure have everyone on the block inviting you back again for more!

This one is one of my favorites. I love me some salsa & chips but have you ever had a salsa this sweet?  Perfect for the party opener:) Found via The Girl Who Ate Everything.

Cucumber Tomato Salad. Simple. Tasty. Easy but frilly enough for all you adults. Found on Real Mom Kitchen.

POPSICLES don't get any better than this. Take a Popsicle mold, add some fruit and your fav juice. Freeze.  Fun. fresh. healthy. Your kids will want to eat more than one & you'll be totally fine with it;)

One day my husband came out of the kitchen drinking out of a Mason jar and I just laughed at him because he said there was no clean cups!  I didn't think at the time that I would ever be offering a jar to my guest but I think I could handle serving up these lemonade mason jar awesomeness!  Found at Yummy Wedding Food.

Holy moly all the kids on the block will think you're the coolest ever if you hook them up with one of these.  Clear out the watermelon, fill it with something sparkly. Total hit! One of my sisters in law's poked holes & added straws to change things up a bit... but you might want to keep that one within the family;)

I have to thank my Mom for making me my favorite meals of the summer. Fillet Mignon, Asparagus, BBQ style, on the beach. This picture doesn't do her grilling justice but I can assure you, you should be jealous:)

It if involves strawberries, whip cream & some kinda bread... You had me at hello! Do ya think the kids could make this deliciousness for my Mother's Day Breakfast? They might need my help, but it will be worth every bite...

Say NO to the Gorilla suit.

Some companies find it necessary to put their employees in costumes to attract customers. Yes, the gorilla suits usually get my kids attention but IT FREAKS THEM OUT. But I have to admit, they are quite fond of the Banana Man suit, there's nothing scary about him, he drinks wheat grass shots so he must have super powers, right? But mostly my kids love him because he gives them Jamba's! Chunky Strawberry Topper, Blackberry Bliss & Oatmeal are a few of our favorites. I noticed the Pumpkin Smash is back, let me know if you've tried that October treat!

That tickles my tongue

The Power is in Your Mouth

Can't control your children who are running around the house spilling red drinks on the white carpet? Can't control the pouring rain outside washing away your beach plans? Can't control the rising price of gasoline? Get a grip and at least take some control over your potato chips. Pride yourself on the flavor rush you can create in your mouth. Take control!

It's true...Kettle chips has given the power to the people with their new challenge, Create-A-Chip. My very own Create-A-Chip Kit arrived the other day and my family gathered round for the unveiling. We each took a bag and let our creative juices flow. Exotic seasonings like, Sweet Chili, or Roasted Tomato made me smile like a child who just had their braces taken off. My father looked over the kit and said, "Oh, and look it's even Kettle Chips, I love Kettle."

So there is hope

Does anyone else have a spice cabinet that looks worse than mine? Mine has a dash of cinnamon here and a few bottle of how knows what over there. I came across Purpose Designs a while back & I had to share their spiffy magnetic spice racks. I can just hear my spices begging to be reorganized & turn into modern art pieces like these. If only my counter wasn't so cluttered... these would sure "spice" my kitchen up a bit:)
