"Heart Smiles"

I find the name of this Etsy shop to be perfect. Every time I look at this Colorful Floral Spring hat my "Heart Smiles!" Seriously though... doesn't it just make you melt from all the adorableness?! Heart Smiles carries unique handmade infant hats. I can't seem to find one that doesn't just jump out and tug on my heart! Just knot it!

I thought this Reverse Knot Dress was just too cute for words when it saw it at Kissing Kumquats! After it arrived and I opened up the package, the words started flowing! I couldn't stop talking about how adorable it was. My husband pointed out the "knots" and agreed this dress deserves some props on SF! Besides being adorable, this dress was made by a professional. The quality of her work is fantastic! No need to worry about everyone having the same dress, it's made from Amy Butlers Lotus line which is hard to come by, so grab one while you still can!

Start with the basics... Early!

Hopefully your baby's first word is Mom but it's never to early to start teaching them their colors too! I found these COLOR Onesies over at Honeybear Lane and thought they were adorable and such a nifty idea! My toddler even started pointing out the colors as soon as I opened up the package! Hand wash

I only have a few clothing items that are hand wash only and I only wear them once in awhile. For thing it's a pain to remember. Although, after using the new Kai Linen Wash I have no problem remembering, I keep wanting to use it over and over because the smell is fantastic! Plus because of it's special formula, it has been proven to actually strengthen your clothing fibers. And another bonus, it's biodegradable so you don't have to feel bad about washing your clothes so much;)

That's our baby's name!

There's something about actually seeing our baby's name in print that makes me feel like I'm a 5 years old... anxiously awaiting Christmas morning! With less than 6 weeks left, we're getting our little love's room all fixed up! So thrilled that I found Happy Tree Graphics! And I'm loving the Baby's name with chunky letters and a sweet bird. As I Went Walking

BOO! I'm still alive. I have survived my freshman year of college (again...) and am currently in the trenches of full time employment.

Now to the good stuff! As I went walking down the commons area of my Washington high school, I would usually always see some guys at one end who were crocheting. I thought it was interesting to see the future ASB leadership guys doing such a thing, but didn't give it much thought.

Flashfoward (which was a good show, and I'm still upset it's canceled) several years after high school and I come across a link on my FB (Facebook for those who don't know) news feed about some guys with a "k"rochet company. I click it and learn about the same guys from high school are now doing amazing things with their talent.

They not only make hip hats and stylin' tee's, but they help women in Uganda at the same time. I don't wanna spoil the whole story, but it is quite a testament to vision and drive, and you should definitely check it out.

Now we are blessed to share their story/products with you, our favorite people! My favorite would have to be their Twin Fin hats. You will be strutting your stuff down the street in one of these hats with heads turning. One of the coolest things about these hats is that the stitching is designed so that you can wear them any season, hot or cold.

Not a hat person, no problem. They have t-shirts too. They even roll with cool music other things.

Toss me the diapers!

There's times when a full on diaper bag is just it too much to carry. I love these custom made diaper pouches by Itty Bitty Love because they are so handy. Sometimes your in a hurry and all you need is the diapers and wipes & with this, you just grab or ask your husband to pass you the diaper pouch on your way to the changing room! Love the fabrics and since they're custom made you can ask for a certain color pattern to go with your outfit;) The loop handle makes it easy to hold onto and makes it look more like a wrist wallet... gotta get one of these handy pouches!

Tufu & Soy Milk

I've tried to like tufu and I've even tried to like soy milk but we don't get along to well. But I will take clothes that are made from soy fiber any day! My purse is full of odds and ends. Everything from gum to toys to lotion to whatever! You name it, I've probably got it in my purse! As much as I try to keep my bag clean, it's not. Searched high and low

When my little sister was born (almost 14 years ago eeek!) I searched ALL over the place to find her a name bracelet. I couldn't find one anywhere, except a little trophy shop in town that sold "ID Bracelets." I'm so glad things have changed and that now days we have Etsy with shops like Baby Jewlz! I found a darling bracelet that can not only be personalized with your baby's name but you can also choose from several different charms to make it even more meaningful.

My Mother in law loved dragonflies & having bracelet for our baby that includes a dragonfly charm just made my husband light up. She'll always have a memory of her Grandma around her wrist;)

Keeping it raw

I'm a big market walker. I love going to them. There's so many creative people. I've been to quite a few and one thing you need if you're going to do any kind of shopping, is a unique bag. I've found mine at Aqua Cherry. Their slouchy purse has traveled around with me the most this summer & I love that I've never seen a duplicate. Never too early
