Our grocery bill is HUGE and my boys aren't even teenagers yet! I think part of the problem is I don't really have a plan before I shop & I just end up adding things as I go a long. Someone suggested to me that I should start making a list before I go to store and stick to it! My only problem with making a list is that I try to write it all at once & I still forget things that I need. I've been trying out this nifty SmartShopper Grocery List Maker and it has worked great! ReplyDeleteI would like this for two reasons. the first is that I often can't read my own writing on the list that is stuck on the fridge. The second is that my husband thinks that telling me what we need from the kitchen magically puts the item on the list, like I am some sort of verbal list keeper. He could just push the button and tell us both what he just used up.

This looks like a cool device especially for us forgetful people. Just yesterday I was shopping and got out to the car when I realized I forgot puff pastry. I had to go back, this gadget would help me remember these things because sometimes I just don't get around to making a list.

I don't have a problem with writing down what I need; where I miss the mark is organizing my list. So every time we go shopping, which except for fill-in items and sales, is once a month, I spend a good half hour per store running back and forth in the store picking up things that I added to the back of the list. With 3 young children, one being 5 months old, 2 dogs and a husband who counts as 2 people (LOL) I am forever getting to the grocery store or department store and forgetting to get something one of my family members told me to get. I have had to go back to the store on more occasions than I care to think about because I forgot to purchase something crucial that someone absolutely had to have! This would make my life so much easier and my shopping so much for efficient if I had this very nifty gadget! This is pretty cool. I try and leave myself notes on a scratch pad with items that I need to get but this hasn't worked too well and I end up buying things that shouldn't be on my list. This could help me to be more organized and hopefully, save some money.
