A creative menu



I'm always trying to find fun ways to get my kids excited about eating. These trays from Sillycone have been a HUGE help lately, if only I would have found them sooner:) Add just about anything from water to jello, to butter & rice rice crispy treats , too add a personal touch to the menu. You can even make your own crayons! You'll be surprised at how creative you can get. Actually the kids have been the creative ones & around here. They've been trying out all kinds of liquids. Although I wasn't too happy to find my new trays out in the snow... They're were making a name tag for their snowman:)

  24. I was thinking, this would be great for making dinner! Some mashed potatoes, meat loaf, anything that can hold its shape. I bet the kids would finish all their dinner!

  25. My three kids would love this! The possibilities are endless..cookie batter comes to mind. We would be playing alot with these letters. I am always on the hunt for something fun and educational to do with their food and snacks

  26. One thought would be to freeze grape juice or orange juice in the trays. The resultant ice "letters" would show up well in a glass of apple juice!

  28. The women in my family are famous our frozen fruit salad, a specialty dessert we roll out every year around this time. These mold would be perfect for adding a fun new twist to the presentation of my family's old stand-by.
    My sister also swears that you can make meringue cookies in a silicone mold. Wouldn't meringue cookie letters be adorable?

  55. This is so perfect for me, I have tons of goofy ice trays and all my friends love it because as soon as they come over they ask for something to drink so they can check out the new ice cubes! Perfect hostess gift for someone to bring ME during the holidays!

  128. What possibilities!! Frozen flavored milkshakes (sugar free) for my hubby - he hates sugar-free and is diabetic. Gosh, ice, jello, frozen juice, birthday cake (use the child's name), sand sculptures, cookies, muffins, and mini loafs of quick bread and so much more!

  155. As a school teacher, you could use these monthly with a new goodie inside:
    Jello Jigglers for the new Year.
    White pudding for Valentines
    Ice for the Windy March days...
    and kids could even vote on how to use these.
    So much fun...
