I'm a big fan of using the self timer function on my camera but ever tried to find the perfect spot to rest your camera & then race back to the group to get into the picture, only to find out all your heads are cut off because you didn't quite get your camera in the right position on the rock you had to use?! The Gorillapod by Joby is seriously the coolest invention ever. Just connect to the bottom of your camera and attach it to almost anything to get that the perfect shot. I think I just like the black and white one. And as far as where I would use it...there are so many places and times. My husband and I were out looking at Christmas lights last week and it would have really come in handy as I wish we could have taken a little family picture.

What an excellent product! Seriously, I wish I'd thought of it. The first thing I'd do when I got it would be to wrap it around a few high surfaces--a tree branche, the blades of a ceiling fan--and get some interesting bird's eye and aerial shots. If I had to choose, I think I'd like it in pink.

I like the green Gorillapod. It'd be awesome to use in places where there is nothing flat for your camera to be stable on. This would be great to use on places where there are only handrails or fences (ie: zoos).

I've been meaning to take some rock climbing and ski pictures of my family (we're in Colorado) and this would be the most wonderful addition to our outings! It's so compact that you can take it anywhere...and I would take it EVERYWHERE. I'd get some great upside-down rock climbing shots that I think would look wicked!

I would use the Gorillapod on the boat, the deck of the pool or even in the Christmas tree! I would hang it from the ceiling fan if there was no other place to mount for a picture I needed to take. What a fabulous invention! I love it! As far as a color? It's so hard to choose. Being a lady of fashion-I'd want all of them :-). But my favorite is the green.

These things are so cool. A lot of times when we are traveling, there's no good place to put the camera for a remote shot. The legs being flexible would also allow it to take up a little less space in the suitcase.

How cool, I'd have fun finding new places to use it, anywhere with an overlooking view would be great. I like the white color, purple would be even better but red is nice.

wow that is so cool i would use this at my daughters basketball games i like the red and black :)

ReplyDeleteI would use the gorilla pod to get cool angles of my college campus - up on a fence or out of windows looking down on the quad. I love the red, to match my camera, of course!
